About Own Touch · Est. 2009
Own Touch began because we believed player development could be done better. Less noise. More intention. A place where players train seriously and still enjoy the game.
Our story
Two cities, one purpose: a consistent, club-neutral place for players to master their craft.
Own Touch began because we believed player development could be done better: less noise, more intention.
We expanded after seeing a clear need in the local soccer landscape: youth soccer had become crowded with rankings and pressure, and most training environments were inconsistent, often driven by short-term results.
What was missing was a truly club-neutral space where players could train consistently, without politics. We created Own Touch to fill that gap, and that purpose still drives everything we do.
Our mission is to provide a consistent, world-class environment where soccer players master their technical craft, sharpen their mental game, and feel fully supported.
The method
We believe players develop best when they are treated as individuals, not outcomes. When players feel rushed or evaluated instead of coached, progress slows and enjoyment fades. Our training is built to do the opposite.
Training is built on repetition, problem-solving, and growth over time. Never rushed, never random.
Players are encouraged to make mistakes, ask questions, and take responsibility for their development.
Our coaches teach players how to think, adapt, and solve problems on the field, not just repeat drills.
Our indoor studios remove the distractions. Progress is never dictated by the seasons, and emotional well-being is a core pillar of athletic development here, not an afterthought.
Club-neutral
We are not a replacement for team play, and we do not compete with local clubs. Our role is to support the individual athlete exactly where they are: technical refinement, a confidence reset, or a reliable training home that fits seamlessly alongside existing soccer commitments.
While our alumni have reached collegiate, professional, and international levels, we don't sell guaranteed outcomes. Development doesn't follow a script. It is shaped by a player's health, commitment, and passion. We don't promise trophies. We promise consistency.
If Own Touch didn't exist, the soccer community would be missing sanity.
90% of new students come through referrals. Own Touch has grown through word of mouth. That kind of trust is earned slowly, and we take it seriously.
International standards
The Own Touch curriculum is not developed in isolation.
We build our training and player assessments with international partners across Brazil, Portugal, and the United Kingdom. Our assessment framework gives players objective technical benchmarks across multiple skills, tailored to challenge them throughout their long-term development.
Select players also train and compete abroad through the International Football Collective (INT FC), our elite international tournament squads.
