New to Own Touch? Start here
Some players are touching a ball for the first time. Others have played a season or two and want a stronger foundation. Either way, we keep the first experience clear and supportive, indoors and year-round.
What you'll notice
New players get encouragement without being overwhelmed, and experienced players get a standard to chase.
Coaches give clear demonstrations followed by high-repetition ball work.
Players receive personal guidance within a group setting.
Simple progressions build confidence through success.
You'll leave the first session with a clear understanding of your child's next steps.
The first session
Every session runs about an hour, in four parts. Because our studios are indoor, the experience stays consistent in every season:
Players are on the ball within minutes. No lines, no standing around.
Coaches show the technique, then break it down so every player understands the why.
High-repetition ball work: dribbling, first touch, passing, finishing.
Grouped by age and ability, every player leaves knowing exactly what to work on next.
Preparation checklist
You don’t need professional-grade gear to get started. The basics are enough.
Choose your path
Both are common entry points for families exploring youth soccer training in Charlotte.
Option one
A great fit for families who want their child to jump in and experience a full class.
Option two
A great fit if you want to talk first, understand options, or choose the right program before your player joins a class.
If you want your child to experience training right away, choose the trial session. If you want clarity first, choose the consultation. Either way, the goal is the same: a confident start. Not sure which program fits? Compare the programs →
